Did you disassemble the engine and inspect it? Would have been an opportune time to do a balance shaft delete (if that engine has them) too!

They were deleted professionally by my local dsm shop Pina Motor Sports along with a fresh t-belt when the previous owner had it, I confirmed that, so it should be good but with my luck who knows, just hoping for the best

Definatly still needs a good cleaning and some minor wire tucking, I hate how cluttered it looks. I think the throttle cable is the worst part haha.

If Pina is a reputable shop then they would have inspected the engine before doing any work on it. I wouldn't worry an ounce about the condition of the engine if this is true.

It is, and I know, but there was a couple month gap in there before it was sold to me. I'm just really stressed out about it because I've been taking time off work (plus recieving gf abuse) just to get my hands on it because the car is not at my house and it would be a huge blow if it doesn't run properly.

Understood. If the engine sat for some time you may want to dump a very small amount of oil into the cylinders to wet the rings when you go to start it.

The parts are stated througout the thread. And yes, some "eBay" parts are used. The manifold is obx, the wastegate is Synapse 40/50mm.. Most know Synapse Is better than Tial.

Anyways, the car started last night 1st try once the starter solenoid decided to engage and idled perfectly. :prayer:

Next on the list is an axle and a Scirroco radiator. Really trying to get this done
Before NW toy run Dec. 4 :supz:

Peter, chief engineer/owner of Synapse is a good friend of mine. I'm always glad to hear people say this because it is absolutely true. I'll be running his products on my Colt as I have with my other cars.

A lot of people think that he just makes aftermarket products. The bulk of his products/sales are hidden from the tuners and enthusiasts because they are for many OEM forced induction applications.

Picked up a Civic half-size radiator, It's pretty darn beefy, I expect it to hold temps fine with a good fan. Got that installed but with some fitment issues, I am going to have the 90 off the turbo outlet rewelded to the driver side, it kind of runs into the radiator and should be on the driver side anyways. Also got the 61t thermostat swapped over as the radiator has a cap already. So the cooling system is all plumbed and ready to go. Really just trying to find a battery that will fit in the engine bay for now and get the suspension and axles installed. Should be ready to go for the Pacific Raceways toy run this weekend :D Will get some pics soon.
