Auto, 63k miles, busted Trans, missing the ECU, gauge bezel, and 2 wheels, and came with a clean title. Not too bad for $300. I think I know exactly what it needs.

I will get some decent pictures of it tomorrow. The left rear brake is stuck, so I have to work on it before I can get it off the trailer. :D

You found my long lost twin :P

I only wish I was closer man, I'd love to help with an AWD swap on one of these. Glad you finally found a nice donor car.

I'm so stoked about finally having a shell for an AWD conversion. I just have to remind myself that the Mirage gets it's engine installed before I work on this one...

I can't wait to have five colts lined up in my driveway, of each factory color! Nice score, and good luck with your swap.

:D (looks out his window and sighs)

Well guys, as we all know plans change... luckily for me it was pre start of the project. I have recently given my brother my daily driver colt, due to a bad divorce, and it will help him keep miles off his dually. Anyway, this left me with this colt and the option to do something different. I pulled the car into the shop last Saturday and began the disassemble. Current plans are na 2.0 with turbo brakes, seats, and other misc goodies. I figure coupled with a DSM FWD trans, with possibly an AWD 5th gear it should make for a good mileage daily driver, might be a little fun as well. Here are the before shots, I'll get the after ones up soon.

That was nice of you to help out your brother, man. Also, I think that a NA 2.0 would be a real kick in the pants to drive, in a little colt like that!

Had to put a Mirage Grill in it, just so no one get my project confused with 89Mirageman's! :)

Well I got most of the dash out today along with the brake pedal so i can swap in the 5 speed stuff soon...

I also picked up the heart donor for the project yesterday after work... My friend drove it this thing up to where we were going to load it before i got there... Then 20 minutes later it wouldn't start, acted like the starter crapped out. Guess I should just be happy it ran!
