alrighty kids more fun today.

well now, looky what i found on my porch !! i love how the fedex guy just knows what i need.

Image

started building some brackets for mounting.. i toggled back and forth about how to mount this thing and finally settled on right here, it just wasnt gonna work out any other way..

Image

its off to the side so there is room for my battery box.. and maybe a nitrous bottle or two..

Image

see!

Image

so i started on making my fuel lines. i was expecting to totally screw this up, but it went perfect! i didnt screw up one cut or mangle one AN fitting.

Image

i needed a spot to mount that fuel pump so i started making some brackets. im about tired of making custom stuff... haha

Image

tacked it up there..

Image

hopefully this guy isnt allergic to ethanol cause he will be seeing alot of it.

Image

thats it for now... and you thought this was gonna be easy.

aluminum cell is questionable for e85, its not hard coated, just raw material. I thought about the same cell, but went with a poly one since E85 is in the future. Also not to put your fuel system down, but if you are considering E85 the feed line should be a AN-10, with a An-8 return. The Aeromotive pump is ok for E85 also, Filter is a little small..

sorry,
scot

there are more mounts and brackets under there i just didnt take pics of everything. and everthing is still in the mockup stage anyways, i dont think there is a single bolt on the car thats tight.

and yes its the A1000 pump but i believe the cell is a summit brand aluminum cell.

i didnt realize the filter was so small when i ordered it i'll be switching it out shortly

i figured they protected those cells so they could be used with any fuel.. ehh we'll see what happens. i think -8an lines will be ok for what i wanna do

Awesome project! Good job!

Just one thing about the tank, are you planning to build an enclusure around it? You need a fire-wall between you and the fuel tank (most tracks are very strict about it). That is why people usually put them under the floor (at least partially, so that you do not have to build as big of an enclure).

But you probably knew this ;).

Have you experienced any issues with diff location? That rear diff brace looks to be sitting too "high" up in the car.
