After studying the XXR 527's some more I'm really digging the chromium black, to the point I can picture them on my black Colt.

Good in theory, but these suck ass as well. They are going to look horrible on a c53. I cant get with the whole bent spoke to make it look deeper effect. This aint not pos RWD, there is no more wrong as to pass a botched FWD wheel that was adapted from rwd. IT DOES NOT WORK PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rape begin.

I actually couldn't agree more with this. Hellaflush is the worst automotive trend in the history of automotive trends. There's really no way to make it work and make it work properly, especially on a car with a solid rear-axle where you can't get any camber going in the back. You'd have to do flares, and I've never seen anyone properly do flares on a CSM. Someone prove me wrong.

You and Boscoe are quite correct. Seems kinda pointless to do ALL THAT on something that'll stay FWD.
My wanting to go with something more radical and aggressive is something a year out.

I've got a shit ton of AWD parts in storage that I "might" have shipped out here, if I plan to stay another two years....

But if Hans Dahlbackcan pull off the look with a Golf, or Alex @ Dentsport can pull it off with their Lancer GSR,
It shouldnt be too hard to do with overfenders on a C53

Mr Hyde, I do have to appologize. I keep forgetting that this is your car. I have friends in a few local car clubs, import and domestic. Having an hour long shoot the shit discussion in a parking lot or car show is one thing but stating my opinion in one flat out statement on here with no discussion is pointless and may get me in trouble on here one of these days. What I should be doing is searching for a wheel that you may like instead of tearing the last two apart. This is your car and your cash.

That DSG EVO II is one of my favorite cars on the planet, and I think he completely murdered the way it looks when he added those flares to it. I loved it when it was a stock exterior with the white TE-37's on it, that is like perfection. I understand needing more grip and having more rubber and all that good stuff, but it just turns the car into looking like a pregnant rollerskate. :(

I missed the part where the XXR's need wheel flares, nevermind then.

If you get the XXR's and do this Image to your car, I will fly over there and promptly take the car away from you sir. Those wheels may look good in the right width and correctly sized tires though.

I'm on your team Hyde. I've been drooling over Hans's Golf for a decade now.

It seems as though we are kindred spirits as my Colt will be flared quite heavily. I think it will end up looking closer to the new WRC Fiesta than a Colt.

Shoving a lot of rubber under the fenders to the point that it requires flares is NOT hellaflush. With that said - if you get 8.25" wide wheels I don't want to see a section width smaller than 245 on them.
