hrrmmm not too far for me either being a couple hours from you guys just across the boarder... i should head down to pacific raceways sometime.

definatly would be fun they run test and tunes atleast once a week during the summer

and xxNocturnalxx it was good to meet you and lmk if i can help with your car, im pretty sure your boosting issue is the way you have your vaccum lines

Would be nice to meet ya 93'TSIColt and it was nice meeting you dsmcolt. I'm sure your right about the vacuum lines and I have a feeling theres a giant leak somewhere, havn't had a chance to dig into it yet.

Updated pics.

Excuse the tranny fluid stuff(2qrts. royal purple 90w125 and 1/2 qrt. of Redline 90w), it was about 20 degrees out, it took 45min. to fill :axe: So I took the time to take a couple pics.

She runs but is currently at 0psi WOT and reading -19 at idle, I think I have a large leak at the Magnus heat barrier intake manifold gasket, it warped, thought I could reuse it, guess not.

Still need to clean up some more wires and maybe relocate the GM maf and weld the coupler locations.

The COP needs some work and fine tuning so it had to go for now, I honesty just like it because it cleans up the look.

And going to cut the motor mount arm off.

Long story short, found out why I'm not making boost!!! The w/g port has a welded bung in it BUT there is another passage inside the turbo that allows exhaust through, a very weird design I have not seen before but I'm sure most of you guys have, all I can say is it must creep like a mother and it doesn't make sence to me but oh well. I guess I'll be going to get the flapper welded shut now..

On a good note, ordered a ECMlink GM cable so I can get that damn translator box out of there.

Plan to hit the Dyno very early next year, going for 300whp@18-20psi.

Still looking for 272s to mate them too.

Took the car out for a bit of testing today, pulls and feels good. Set her to 11psi and did a bit of tuning on link. She reached the 11psi mark in 3rd at 4600rpm at 80% throttle, don't want to go wot yet. I was honestly shocked at the acceleration, its been a while since ive been in a dsm i guess. She will be at the tuner here in a couple weeks and I will have some real numbers then. A boring update but it was very exciting for me lol

Took the car for about 20 WOT runs last night, On my last run before heading home I was in 3rd just going wide open and BOOM! :o :o broken metal sound, very loud. No smoke or anything but the engine had no power and I couldn't hear the turbo anymore :( So I limped her home, poped the hood and to my surprise my waste-gate was almost draging on the ground being held by 2 vacuum lines :oops: After inspection I realized my not cheap 4-bolt to v-band adapter had blown in half!!!

Have some HKS Delta 272/272s coming in soon. I havn't decided if I'm going to dyno the car before or after. If you guys would like me to dyno before I will do that, then install and dyno again to get some hard improvement numbers just for sake of actually getting 2 accurate dyno graphs to see physical actual gains on a modded 4g63t as there are few dyno graphs out there, some of which may not even be legit, so let me know what you think.

Haven't had a chance to get to the dyno yet, I keep deciding to change things at the last minute, right now I have the turbo at the shop getting some work done then I'll have to change my ic piping set-up but it will be for the better.

Here are a couple recent pics.

I'm thinking of locating the battery down onto the frame rail area and running the intake over the top.

Car is finally at the shop! :) Getting a few things buttoned up then dyno tune to follow, will have the results next week, this will be with the stock Mirage t/b which will be my biggest restriction, also the cams will not be installed at this time.. Doing the n/t 1g 65mm t/b with the cams and gears and maybe some other goodies within the next couple months.

This will be on a Dyno Dynamics, 92oct.

Any guesses on numbers?

Just got the car off the dyno.

Made 286whp/250tq. at 13psi.

We would have ran more boost but was wasting too much time trying to get the Synapse dialed in. Had a boost leak that was progressing through out the session so something is starting to slowly let loose, haven't figured out where its at yet, will get a blt back on it soon. Over all I'm happy with numbers, better than I expected for such low boost :supz: Our horsepower curve had solid flat line at about 5.5k and would not make any more power after that which was odd, we think the large SMIM coupled with stock Mirage TB and stock cams had something to do with it. We had the timing at 21 but would not make anymore power with higher timing even though we had no knock what so ever which also seemed a bit odd. I think the car just wants more boost and more flow then everything should be on track.

Next step will be TB, 272s w/gears, at 20psi.
