For now so I can focus on other things I am keeping the primary 1150's that I had in there. I will be using stock 450cc secondaries for now so I can learn the staged injection and pay for other things. $1500 in injectors right now can go a long way for safety equipment. Plus if I pump the base fuel pressure up to 60psi or so I think I can squeeze what I need out of the 450's for now. Even with E85.

I just got a little sticker shock today with the parachute. Finally got the answer I was looking for, but it is going to be $650 for the correct parachute for my needs. $250 more than I thought I was going to spend.

Got a little bit done this afternoon. I got the hotpipe back today and picked up the last few things I needed. The only thing I am short is three fittings for the fuel system that I ordered the other day as they were not in stock. But, I plumbed all the vacuum lines today, and all but two fuel lines. Both of those fuel lines will be a 5-10 minute deal though. I will post those pics when I get the last two lines done. Getting close to finally having my first parachute and first roll cage.

Got the fuel lines and vacuum lines all plumbed in the past two nights with a little spare time I had. Still have to pull everything off, prep it, clean it and do some deburring on the manifold. I would like to have all the done this weekend. Hopefully in the next 1-2 weeks I can make progress and get the car started. Only thing needed is the wiring as the other hard parts are done.

Enjoy.

I no longer have an intercooler. So fuel is how I cool my intake charge now.

car looks really good. I couldn't imagine the money you have spent on a colt. Guess everyone on this site is crazy for spending crap loads of money on these things, guess im one of them. Really really nice setup, cant wait to see some video of it running...

There is video around here of it running earlier this year. And even some video last year with the 16g on it.

So you believe you can dump a bunch of fuel in there and it will cool it down and still run great?

It sure will. Already played with a dsm with a 10 injector setup. Until the injector orings failed, it was coming along nicely on the dyno. A few more tools would have helped that car not get hurt.

Not any different than people running methonal or water injection. This is just not a bandaided or piggy backed kit. It completes the whole fuel system.

Tell me why you think it won't? It is going to methonal sooner than later. Frank and Serge run 10 injectors, and are in the process of switching to 8, Mr. Shepherd is running 10, and Mr. Rau is running 8. I am not coming up with some new invention here. Just following suit of what the successful dsm teams have done.

The number one reason for this switch was to not run any intercooler at all. Get rid of all restrictions I could while maintaining the factory manifold.

The other thing about running Methanol is it doesn't need to be as cool but will still drop temps significantly. There are a ton of cars running set-ups similar to this with great success.

Running meth will make it run cooler, but just like any fuel if you dump too much it isnt going to run well. You will also need to take into account you will need an ignition system to burn all that fuel. Not trying to be a dick or anything but this thing has FAIL written all over it.

I will take each hurdle as I come to them. I am expecting some growing pains. But not to run horrible like you say. It will be successful. And I will push until it is. Thanks for the encouraging fail word though.
