I havent forgoten anyhting yet, the water pipe is out till i install the upper mount. And yes every part is new or reconditioned to my liking. Working at a performance machine shop has it's advantages.

A little rundown of whats in this motor

Head:
-Bronze valve guides
-3 angle valve job (sunnen VGS-20)
-Valve seats opened
-Duel angle valves
-Springs shimed .030
-Mild porting and polishing
-Milled .014
-New plugs (.024gap)
-Ported intake
-550 RC injectors

Cometic custom 4 pc headgasket .074 (stock is .054)

Block:
-Shotpeened block
-All mechining done on RMC V30 4axis CNC
-Bored by probed centers .015
-Square decked .008
-Final honing on Rotller diamond hone
-Balance shaft bearings turned to block oil holes
-New freeze plugs

Rotating assenbly:
-1g big rods reconditiond with ARP bolts then balanced small and big ends to exact same weight
-.020 Topline pistons
-.020 Total seal rings
-Over balanced crank (was 3.2/3.6 now .05/.07)
-Zero balanced flywheel (it was 14.7 grams off now .05 grams off)
-Clevite std/std bearings

Other parts:
-Apex complete gasket kit (very nice kit)
-New water pump
-New oil pump /with balance shaft stub installed
-New timming belt/tensioner
-All new timming belt pulleys
-Magnetic oil drain plug
-All reusuable parts wheres cleaned to look new by sand blaster and high temp paint
-New belts for alternator and p/s
-New thermostat
-New O2 sensor

I know I'm missing some things but you get the gist of it, this should be a nice daily driver motor.
I'll be making a nice write up when I'm ready, I have taken pictures of the entire process. This write up is still far away cause I'm going to finish the AWD first.

I belive the inside of the house is the best place if you dont have a temprature controlled clean room laying around.

Nice to see you're still in the game!

I'm in the midst of porting a head to install on the GVR4. Where should I take it to get cleaned/decked, and reassembled?

I got the bare block and AWD tranny instaled in the Summit and it is heading up to HTP a local turner shop to have the AWD installed this week. I wanted so much to do it my-self but I dont have the three thing's I need (time, welder, lift). This was one of the only shop in the STL I would let work on my C/S/M,DSM. I will have many pics comming in the next few weeks.
