Major components of the fuel system came in last night. Big money here. My ass still hurts a bit. I spent almost as much on the pump alone this time as I spent on the whole system that I built for the mirage. Magnafuel goodness below.

The goal is to have it done late january early february. To be honest I have not kept track at all with this car. I did that with the first two cars I built, not something I want to know anymore. Not the best investment any way you know. Probably still in the $5000-7000 range. Somewhere in the middle of that. Including the purchase of the car. That includes welding crap as well. And the water/air setup that is no longer in the car.

The fuel system is the single most expensive thing that will go into the car. Next after that was the water/air setup. For the most part it has been cheap. Doing it all myself and designing it all myself then sitting side by side with the welder helps a ton.

Small update. Had some tires given to me. I am only able to use two of them seems as my car is 2WD. I can only use these frontrunners as trailing tires. I have to use LSR tires as drive tires. But, I can keep all four and use them as spares. I do have to pick up some wheels or have some custom made for my lug patter, but either way is not an issue. There is a few places in colorado to have wheels like this made.

Spent as long as I could stand in the garage today. It was 22* in the garage. Not as warm as my home that we just sold by a long shot. But still got a few things done. I was hoping to wire in the AEM box this weekend, but it just did not happen.

I did manage to get the regulator mounted and fuel pump mounted. I have to make a bracket so it has two mounting points, but this is where the regulator is going to be mounted. I got the ground hooked up but it started to get real cold and did not want to finish soldering the fuel pump in. I did twist the power wire together to test it out. It is pretty damn quite I have to say. Much more tolerable than the Aeromotive Eliminator I had in the mirage. I mean you could hear it under there, but I think when the car is running I won't even hear it. Which is great, as it is more or less mounted right under the driver's seat.

Very nice! Fuel will never be an issue again. Its a good thing you have a couple miles on the salt because I cant imagine getting traction on those tires till 5th gear.

I wanted this to be the last fuel pump I ever buy. It should do double what I want on alcohol and triple what I want on gas.

Nick had some pretty serious issues this year on the skinnies. 2008 he had a little trouble, but we put a great, reliable tune on it with v3 this year and the car woke up. He showed wheel spin all the way to 200mph according to his racepak. He has hit an aerodynamic wall and is addressing a few things now for the production class before he goes wild with streamlining.

I am not interested in any class and will be tackling aero work before too long. A lot of guys will not like what we came up with, but I want to ensure that I have done everything I can and not left anything to chance. I don't want to go somewhere and run 199mph. There was a VW in texas this march who went 199.6. He stripped some teeth in his tranny on his next pass. He had to wait until last month to try again. He did end up doing 208 this time around.

Keep you eyes peeled guys. There should be some nifty pics coming in the next few days.

I called four parachute manufacturers yesterday about getting a custom parachute made. All took my name down and never returned my call. This happened twice last week as well. I guess they don't want my money. All I was asking for was to have the line extended from 15 feet to 30 feet.

Took about 6-7 weeks, but here is my hot nasty intake manifold. One off pieces and saved me like $1200 versus going to a sheet metal intake manifold. At this point and maybe forever, I will sacrifice a little bit of power versus spending an extra $1200.

I will have pics in the next day or two of the mini fuel rail setup on the pipe. It will look pretty much the same though. I also had him weld over all the vacuum ports and welded on a -4 male fitting for the new vacuum distribution block. Including the brake booster port. The vacuum setup should look really clean I hope.

Let me know what you guys think. I put it down on paper and this is what we came up with after a few weeks. Just had to be fit in is what took so long.

Correct. The stock four located injectors are still being utilized. As well as a mini fuel rail that looks like the one above in the hotpipe. So that is 10 injectors all together.

Thanks John. It was just a matter of being patient while he filled some time otherwise. It was very affordable versus the alternative. Actually a triple fuel rail setup with an aftermarket manifold and throttle body runs around $1800-2000 for name brand parts. I came away in much better shape than that. So I had to be patient.
