Hello, I have some CV boots that need replacing. As usual, if you've had a dry boot for a while you can pretty much assume you're going to need a new joint. I go to UTI here in IL, and we get a 30% discount from Napa. I can get fully assembled and greased axles (inner and outer joints w/boots allready filled/greased, and the shaft) as a unit very cheaply. Mirage axles with joints and boots: $150/pair DSM 2.0 axles with joints and boots: $130/pair ***** [b:1jjove9v]My question is for the 2.0/1.6 gurus. Are the 2.0 axles beefier? Are they swapable (same spline on the shafts?)[/b:1jjove9v] |

that sounds about right. I recently changed my pass/side CV & it cost me $72+ core exchange from Napa. the quality is decent too, except they rust like a B#$ch so some type of rust inhibitor should be used. -vic |

The 2.0 axles are not beefier, nor will they fit in an 89 M/C turbo. |

The splines are all the same however they are about 2" too long, and will bind. You probably won't get very far driving on them. |
