I am planning on doing a 4G63 swap to my "89 Colt GT. What I need to know is if the stock tranny from the 4G61T will mate up to the 4G63, or do I have to get the Eclipse tranny in there too? Please help me out.

Your '61 tranny will work just fine.

Check the "Mirage/Colt info" link on the upper left side of the main 4G61T.com page. There are topics in there that everyone should read, including topics that would answer your question.
