If I wanted to swap out a 1989 C53a turbo KM210, would the direct replacement be a F5M33 ?
What year F5M33 would retain stock axle spline fitment ?
What spline count does the KM210 use ?
I've read about weak gear sets and shitty fibrous syncros on the 89 CSM /90 DSM FWD turbo transmissions, so I need to know what viable options there are. I'm tired of thinking about FWD 89-90 transmissions with the crop of parts that are now left out there. If I sprung for a better transmission, I don't want any more transmission issues period. It would cost too much to get here, to put in and out again, etc etc. So, I looked around at Jacks and TRE, and saw the weak points about transmissions from the early era, upgrades to 2nd gear syncros, EVO3 gearsets, and the list goes on. My max goal would be the 300-400 HP/FTlbs arena, so I don't need a welded differential nor would I drive one, EVER. I Quaiffe, KAAZ or some sort of a limited slip I would consider, seriously, if it came down to it.
What kind of a transmission would you build if you could, based on what is being offered these days?
Jacks offers some high end dog tooth re-work, TRE offers EVO3 gearsets. I like the idea of syncronizers in any gear possible (1st-5th), and would consider the idea. Would I go with a taller 5th, maybe but that would pay for shipping one way.
Jacks tastiest option on the table:

I know some guys have had wish lists in their heads, so whether you bought a built FWD trans or made one yourself (or a buddy helped), what can I put into my little can?
