I have a 92 dodge colt and i am looking to do the 4g63 swap. I was wondering if anyone had like a walkthrough or place that helps with the wiring and things that arent obvious during the swap. I would also like if someone could help with like a parts list i may need. Thanks |

I also make mounts and an adapter harness. Look for my sticky in the FS section. |

I'd the car auto or manual? If it's auto let me know and I'll walk you through swapping to a 5spd |

First thing is track down a CSM (colt, summit, mirage) shifter, shifter cables, and 5spd brake/pedal assembly. Then go to your parts store and buy a new clutch slave and master cylinder for an 89 colt gt. Finally get yourself a km-210 5spd transmission from a 89 colt gt or turbo mirage. |

It will but you will have to swap the shift levers and the cable bracket over. I did a write up on this a while back, its in the archives. Its the first post that ColtiXim linked you to above. |

What Driverside axle works with a fwd Dsm trans? The Dsm halfshaft setup didn't work for me |

If it was an intermediate shaft from a manual car it should have bolted right on. You have to space one of the bolts out or use a dsm ac bracket though. |

Yea I hear people say that they bolt right up, then I hear people say they need to cut 3/16 of an inch off the splines. The shaft that was in the car was cut. Maybe it depends on year of trans and shaft?? I just ordered an n/a 4g61 long shaft. We'll see how that goes. Sorry for the thread highjack. But technically its helpful information. |
