While doing the turbo installation on my Summit LX sedan I noticed that the bosses for oil squirters were already drilled and tapped but had plugs in them from the factory.
I pulled a set of 4g63 squirters from a ruined block I had lying about and in they went!
It honestly entailed merely dropping the oil pan, removing the plugs, installing the squirters and testing for clearance. The crank did not strike them and neither did the bottom of the piston so no adjusting was required.
I also noticed a small detail that I found interesting. Even though the 4g61 was built without balance shafts, the block has the journals for the balance shaft bearings machined for use and the "Check Plug" for checking the rear balance shafts position when setting timing.
