I am trying to get this 1.6 really dialed in. I am currently using a 2.0l ECU from a 1G with the "Evomod1" maps from ECMLink's site with some tweaks to the timing and target AFR tables. I really would like to be able to see some logs or setups from other 1.6 guys running version 3. Someone else is running an internally stock 4g61 on a 16g/20g with ECMLink would be perfect.

My biggest questions are in the timing and target AFR tables. The car feels great at WOT but the part throttle is choppy. The tables for the 2.0l just aren't what the 1.6l wants. Ideally I would like to be able to start with the 1.6l tables and modify those to achieve my goals.

I found this thread on the ECMLink forums: http://www.dsmlink.com/forums/showthrea ... light=1.6l

Jared tuning the Widow a year and a half ago. He is running a way bigger turbo, E85 and HKS272s but at least it gives me a point of refference to look at.

I tune my 1.6 just as I would a 2.0L. I use all 2.0L electronics and it works just fine. I asked some really good questions to help get Jason's car dialed in. Questions people had not asked before. I fealt that is what made his car drive really smooth. Just search my name on the dsmlink forums and there should be your answers.

I did find a good deal of posts from you. I did exactly what you just stated: I tuned the 1.6 using the 2.0 tables with slight tweaks. The changes I made to the tables were basically the same changes I would have made tuning a 2.0 with a different turbo and fuel set-up. Car runs far better without the part-throttle chop. The ECU shoots for 10:1 target AFR at the top end, which I changed to 11.5:1 and I mellowed the timing table out so that the highest advance is 21 degrees. But the "shape" of the stock 2.0 tables has basically stayed the same.
