Ok guys, I finally got this done today and all i can say is WOW! what a night and day difference! The car just runs soo much better now and my idle isnt crappy anymore! But now that its recirced I cant hear the BOV at all? I knew the sound wouldnt be as loud but surely you should still be able to hear it just a little bit right? When Im on boost and I shift, I hear absolutely nothing at all? That cant be right... right? For anyone who has recirced their BOV, what other adjustments did you make? In the BOV now is the bigger of the two springs that came inside the BOV, the smaller one is sitting in the garage just chilling for now, should I put the smaller spring back in now and take out the larger one? The adjustment screw also I had pretty much all the way loose and when I shift I still dont hear the BOV at all? Am I just freaking out again over nothing or is something def wrong here?

I have a greddy type S style BOV from frozenboost.com btw

Having it re-circulated makes it significantly quieter. You should hear it just a little bit, but it's definitely going to be quiet. I never ever heard the stock re-circ'd BOV in my Mirage, never.

Also when I do shift it just makes like a "bic" sound or w/e lol, is this valve flutter? It cant possibly be compressor surge.

It's probably just fluttering because it's a cheap knockoff BOV

Probably not. It's probably just a stiff BOV and only opens under higher loads.

If you can get replacement springs for that BOV then yeah, put a softer spring in it. If it's a type-S knockoff though, it's probably a diaphragm type BOV, you might not be able to change the spring in it.

If it's a ebay type s knockoff then remove the smaller spring completely. A lot of people have trouble with those untill they do this.

edit: just reread my post, only if there are TWO springs inside your BOV should you remove the smaller of the two springs!

I stripped the adjustment screw am I screwed lol pun kind of intended. I can still remove the top part of the BOV and put the smaller spring back in now tho, I just cant adjust it now. I emailed frozenboost and asked if there was a way I could get just the top part of the BOV, should get a response probably tomorrow but hopefully today

Right now the larger of the two springs is in my BOV, you are saying I should just leave it or put the smaller one in now?

Oh I see that your already running just one spring, in that case I guess your only options are to purchase a softer spring (pretty redundant to do for a knockoff bov) or purchase a new BOV. I would suggest you find a 1g bov and go with that. They may not have the fancy noise emitting capabilities as many aftermarket bov's do but they work awesome. I have a few laying around I would be willing to give to you for just about free.

1g bov ftw. i personally like the basic mitsu bov sound, it gets the point across without sounding like a horny bird.

whats the boost limit on a 1g crush?

Iv'e personally seen 25 psi on them all day long.
