im trying to finishing up my waterpump install. i put the timing belt back on and the belt is wanting to work its self back off. how do i fix that |

went back over the vfaq, i believe i tensioned the tensioner in the wrong direction, i went counterclockwise |

When I did my timing belt I started with the holes facing the 9 o'clock position then rotated the tensioner clockwise till they were in the 12 o'clock position. |

ya i got it all worked out. it even ran when i was done. the last dsm i had we did a tbelt on ended up spinning two rod bearings and bending all the exhuast valves |
