While the cases are the same, dohc ecu's don't work, or fit, in sohc cars, and vice versa. The connectors are different for the wire harness. You either got a 1.5 motor, or they used a 1.5 case on the ecm. Also someone could have just wrote 1.5 on it. |

Google the part number on the actual board. Not the case. |

If there are wires that are obviously cut and not making a connection AND the car is not running right (I will also assume you have a CEL) then connect the wires! What is your location? Maybe someone local can lend a hand. The Mods will probably tell you to add your location to your profile too! |

when u have a safc abd then remove it, you have to make sure the MAFS wires are connected back together. If you remove it and dont reconnect the wires it will run like you say and throw codes left right and center. |

Yep same problem I had. Installed ecmlink and just unplugged safc2 and it ran like hell. Reconnected and soldered wires and ran better than ever |

fix your electrical before you even think about plugging in an eprom ecu. |
