What is the difference between a 1994 - 4G64 and a 1994 - 4G63 distributor ? Can they be swapped ?

I seemed to have fried the ignition module in the 4G64 distributor (not sure of cause) and there seems to be a shortage locally of 4G64 distributors . Anyone have a ignition module fix that might work if 4g63 distributors wont swap ?

There is 3 4g64 expo's in my yard!! -check your spark plugs if a tip got pushed in as it will fry it. I will compare the distributors/coil pack tomorrow but off hand I DONT think they will work.

I'd say they're not interchangable seeing as there is no distributor on a 4g63.

Yes i mean coil pack .

The car fires up runs fine for a minute or two and then shuts its self down .

So you have a 4g63 head on a 4g64 bottom end the? The 4g64 has a distributor and the 4g63 does not!1 its a coil pack more or less. If you need a 4g63 or 4g64 part advertise it in the Want To Buy section... :rock:
