Ok, can someone help out please, I am getting somewhat frustrated. I got a 89 GT with a 4G63t swap. I have been wanting a 2.0 comp., but listen to this... I get a 92 AWD Auto whith the idea that it will work, but may be not as agressive on timming under boost, which is fine for now. I got to plug it in, and it is NOT EVEN THE SAME!!! The same yard has another 91 comp AWD auto, and I remember it being Identical.... WTF!! Can anyone with a 1.6t to 2.0t swap, or anyone that know PLEASE shad some knowlege on this situation! My comp is on its way out and now that winter is here, the end may be near, Thanks

check this adress, be carefull for the pin 6 and 14 you have to swap them.

if the harness your are using is a colt turbo one, its the same configuration as the 1990dsm so in order to use a 1991 and up ecu you have to swap pin 6 and 14

There is a separate computer for the transmission in the automatics. Are you sure you got the ECM?

they are both different, you cant mix them up, the plugs are totally different.

but the 1992 automatic ecu worked just fine with my 1989 turbo, but as i said the rpm acts funny after 5000rpm

Right, but from the original post (they're totally different!) makes it sound like he couldn't even plug them up....

Yup it was the comp for the tranny. Good work guys. I got the real ECU for a 91 at no charge now, so I'll install and let you know how it goes
