Post subject:  crank pulley removal

Well, just curious how you guys remove your crank pulley in your CSM with a 4g63 swap. mine wont clear the frame rail and is still on the end of the crank sadly, ive tried droping the engine down a bit but it doesn't help much. Anyone got any tricks here???

the hole coming thru the wheel well. Take the top mount bolt out and use a pry bar or something to move the motor back some. Then jack the motor up by the oil pan just enough that the crank bolt can come thru that hole. The just take the bolt off and pull it thru the hole. Once thru you can just drop the pulley out

Preferably you won't ever have to jack on the oil pan, so try and use a hoist of some measure from above to pull the motor up slighltly. You may have to drop the motor and remove the timing belt mount at the least, but it's been a while since I've looked at how close that pulley is to the frame. CSM = REALLY close to the frame, DSM = cakewalk in comparison IIRC.
