hey guys, im sure this has been asked before but i couldn't find anything on it. i originally had a 1.5 5 speed tranny mounted to my 4g61t but i recently switched to the 1g fwd tranny. the cables are incompatible.. one cables throw is too short.. i found some 1g non turbo shift cables and they work ok.. but im having 1st and 2nd gear grinding problems because of it.. if i remember correctly the colt turbo cables will work but i cant find any... any answers will be greatly appreciated.. thanks

You need to swap the shift levers on the tranny, not the cables. Either that or modify a dsm shifter to fit. There is some info in the archives.

Colt turbo cables are the same as 1.5L cables.

If you're using a dsm shifter and tranny there shouldn't be any problems.

So the right setup would be the colt cables and the dsm shifter with a dsm tranny correct?
