I want to install hks272 exhaust cams on my 4g63t colt. I hear about using 272 cams and stock intake cams, i just dont know if is going to work or do i have to change anything on the head. I did a 3 angle valve job on the head, SI dual spring and manley retainers......

The 272s are supposed to be able to work with a stock valvetrain, but it doesn't hurt to run upgraded springs and valves, especially if you plan to raise the rev limit. I myself haven't heard of using a 272 ex with a stock in cam, but have heard of plenty using a 264 intake cam.

I knew someone who bought a DSM that had a 272 exhaust cam and a stock intake cam. It's stupid, and the first thing he did was get a 272 intake cam to put in there. 272's have no issues with stock valvetrain, especially if you're not trying to rev to the moon.
