Hello

can any one tell me if the cranks and blocks from the N/A engines are the same strength as the turbo engines ?

I.a.w can i put turbo pistons in the 4G67 1.8 16v DOHC and will it then be as strong as a 4G61T

Thanks Ronald

Yes the cranks are the same between NA and turbo. The NA blocks lack piston oil squirters.

The 4G67 crank is the exact same forged steel 88mm stroke crank as found in 4G63 and 4G63T.

The 4G67 block can be bored out to the same specs as the 4G63 and thereby use any standard 4G63T piston you care to choose.

IOW the 4G67 motor is pretty much a 4G63 except with smaller pistons.
