I would just wait for the 63 short block and do the complete swap if your going to do that much work. You should set up the 63 engine and get it the way you want and do the whole swap at once. That would be nice.

Turbo will spool slower because of the cam and because the 2.0L head lowers the compression of the 1.6L motor.

You "won't" be able to rev higher but the top end will feel stronger.

SEARCH is your best answer! Putting the '63 head on the '61 will lower your compression, but the larger ports will give you better flow, helpful if your running a bigger turbo. Just remember to port match the manifolds.

i want to build a 1.6 but i wasnt sure what head to use but i have the 2.0 head so i think ill jus swap the 264 cams into the 1.6 head and put in upgraded valve springs

Actually 264s increase spool up. Even though curtain area is unchaged they provide better low lift flow. What will the compression be lowered to because of the combustion volume increase? I can't see the spool up being affected too much just because of that, and the cams might offset the loss in spoolup from static compression drop.

2.0L Turbo head on a 4g61T is NOT a good idea. Period.

If you are wanting to do this to try and make more power and have the ability to flow more with the 1.6, you could use a 4g67 (1.8 dohc) head. It has the same combustion chamber size as the 1.6 and the 2.0 port sizes-keep the compression the same while having the ability to flow more :)

Haha. Not really. 20G's are small and so are 264's. You'll make power to like 7,000rpm maybe, if you're lucky.
