I am assumimng you are trying to put a non-equal lenght half shaft into a AWD trans. I am pretty sure that the AWD side gear does not have a groove cut into it to catch the C-clip. You will need to run the two piece half shaft(equal lenght). I also got a trick from PTTcolt that to bolt the halfshaft to the back of the block without the A/C plate that goes under it. Use two 6bolt head bolt washers under each bolt (4 total). Worked great in my car for a year. |

It pops out of the transmission constantly? I have 1G and 2G AWD trannies in my car and never had any problems with an 89 Mirage Turbo passenger axle. I had a problem of it constantly popping out and I believe it was due to not having a 1.6L turbo axle. See my "4G63 Swap" link on my webpage, at the bottom. Shows the axle differences. What problem are you having? |

Equal length 1G is for the drivers side. He is referring to the passenger side and should use the 1.6T axle on that side |

Is it a 1.6T axle? There should be no reason why the axle would pop out of the hub assembly or tranny. Is the axle popping out of its' cups?
