I was checking out jnz's new online cat and noticed the 90s had straight oil pump gears where the 91-92 6 bolt gears were helical. I am gonna guess it would be better to use the helical cut gears because they would have more surface area than the straight cuts, which should increased there output capability(if needed) but I wanted to get others opinions on this.

The straight cut gears will tend to give an audible whine at low rpm, but not create side loading on the oil pump case like the helical cut gears can do.
I've always ordered the 90 style gears as a matter of personal preference, however I've never heard of oil starvation issues created regardless of oil pump gear style used.
