Uhhh, 500whp on pump gas is a lofty goal...especially if you also wanna daily drive the car. I can tell you right now that it would be really difficult to pull that off with a DSMLink and/or a turbo that would spool below 5,000rpm.

Yeah, if you had meth injection it's definitely doable, but at that point, it's not REALLY a pump gas car anymore, is it? :wink:

Who cares cost you an extra $2.00 every tank of gas and the dsm link isn't what I would consider the limit of 500whp on a "TRUE" pump gas car it is in the tuner. ASK the guys @ TPGTUNING they are shooting for 9's

I completely agree. I know a DSMLink is capable of supporting the power, and I know it's all up to the abilities of the tuner. I just don't think one should call their car a "pump gas" car if they're using methanol injection.

I don't want to turn to meth injection, mainly because then it is no longer a true street car. I think 500 is obtainable, it's just going to take ALOT of work, the right parts and an awesome tune. I am just trying to figure out what engine management system to go with.

Now that is my goal, so I also accept the fact that I may not reach it. So I'm just going to take it as it comes.

I have a Volvo for my daily driver, but my mirage is not going to be strictly a track car. I find that takes the fun out of it.

If you wanna hit 500whp on pump gas you're gonna need a huge turbo that's very efficient at high boost levels. You're gonna need to run a ton of boost, and the only way to do that on pump gas is to run VERY little timing advance. Most guys run like 2* of advance, maybe less. 500whp on pump has been done before, it's definitely not a BS goal, it's just not gonna be easy. Dre99GSX did like 503whp on a AGP 50 trim, which is pretty incredible really, especially considering it was a few years ago.
