Why are you asking this question? If you're looking to do this it should bolt right up. I kept the ac in my 93 colt van. It bolts right up easy. Kind of a good question cause most swaps didnt have air to begin with, and the other ones get deleted. I am not knowledgable enough to answer this, but the way mitsu is they make all their stuff interchangeable.

As he stated above, and you can visit mirageforums.net because they have all 4G+ cars there.

Actually this is a good question.

My 1.8 LS has the A/C unit mounted on the front side of the motor whereas, 1G's have theirs mounted
on the backside.

Maybe use the dsm compressor and have someone tig up some hybrid lines using lines from both cars?

More likely none of the above. I've done this job on my 4G coupe. Issues are:
* the R1134A (not the earlier R12) evaporator, condenser, drier canister can be used, plus the various 4G relays and controls in the center dash panel. The wiring is mostly all there except for the relays assembly that installs next to the power steering reservoir.

The compressor is the issue. The older R12 bits are not usable, so either the Talon or 4G 1.5L compressor has to be used. The 1.8L compressor is different and mounts on the front of the engine.

* Talon: direct fit on to the engine. Talon and 4G connector pipes are different sizes vs the 4G, and the hoses are different.
* 4G 1.5: the Talon mounting bracket has to be modified to mount the 4G compressor. The belt pulley is the wrong size and does not line up with the 4G63 belt. This can be fixed by using a 4G63 water pump pulley, with a spacer to align the belts. The new pulley size runs the compressor at about the same rate as the 4G installation. You can work this out by comparing the respective pulley diameters and doing the math.

* hoses: the 4G hoses from the compressor to the firewall don't fit the new position of the compressor on the 4G63. I had an AC shop rehose the existing connectors/pipes, which requires TIG welding suitable hose tooth sections, so the hoses would not leak when clamped. The shop also pressure tested the hoses.

My condenser rad was not leaking (many do with age) so a new drier was fitted, the system was evacuated, and new refrigerant loaded. Works fine.

Yes, back in 04. Its a a 63 NA car we did.

AC. PS, blew cold. :) Used a 2.0 Compressor-tig welded talon lines with Colt lines-used Colt dash wiring. Worked well and had no issues.

Side note-to this day that was the ONLY Colt I have ever seen in Light Yellow Pearl. As ghey as that sounds one of the best Mitsu factory colors I have ever seen.

But on a Colt. Mitsubishi Martinique Yellow Pearl

I saw a 4g coupe at the JY in that color a while back. It was gone the last time I went though. They are pretty rare though, only one I've ever seen.
