Well before i decided to sell my black AWD i bought the GT4202 set up with a sheartop mount. The engine mounts i had built two years before with 2x2 tubing going from Rail to rail were in the way of alot of things. The rear wouldnt let me do a alt. relocation. and the front wouldnt allow my 4'' side exit exhaust. So i cut them out. Then lost interest with the car. I remember when GSX built his first AWD he used the firewall to build the rear mount. Then when he wrecked it, I happen to see where he cut the fire wall in half and how thick it was. He used the same mounting spot on the Teal AWD he recently built.

Anywho, When Shaun came and looked at my black AWD, it had No engine mounts what so ever. So we sat down one day and built them. This is what I came up with, with shauns beer. haha Personally i think they turned out pretty nice, and It now has ALOT of space in the front. We were unsure what FMIC and Radiator shaun was going to use. So i didnt make any mounting tabs for aynthing. Shaun is going to take care of that when he gets it back together.

And the rear engine mount

Both are extremely solid. The front has a Poly insert that i bought from Paul many moons ago. but the rear is solid steel like it was before.

All and all, It took me 30ish min. to cut the lower core suupport off, and a few hours to weld everything up.

Thoughts? comments?

GT4202 set up! I'm really eager to see this thing come together. Nice work

edit: oh gotcha... for some reason I was thinking you meant a DSM when you said black AWD.
