Guys I need aa little info. I apologize for not searching first but Im at work and Im not supposed to be on here. I Have till the end of the day to purchase a 92 Galant Vr4 from a local guy. I guess I really need to know is what I cannot use from the Vr4 for the colt. Or should I just wait for a 92-94 T/E/L. Thanks Guy Geo!

You can use the GVR4 stuff. In fact; it's better, because it's already got the 4x114.3 rear hubs. You'll just have to remove all the 4WS components, and then it's basically the same thing as a T/E/L rear subframe.

Yes it should work well but it is almost a sin to cut/hack up a Galant VR4. If it is beat down and not worth making road worthy then go for it.

I bought the car only because it came with what I needed for the swap. Its not running and its ugly. About a year ago someone put a brick through the back wondow. Rain water made it real gross in there. Everything metal inside has rust spots. I may still need to purchase a caliper and dust sheilds being that rust has plagued the undercarriage. Rear end needs sand blasting. I live in Far Rockaway Queens right on the beach, so rust is always an issue here. Ive been passing this car for almost two years now. I never thought I would need it until I picked up the new Colt. No I don't feel too bad. There is no badging on the outside and no # badge on the dash. I would have burried the badge in my backyard to lay here soul to rest. Oh

I will not begin to part it until I rape it for colt parts and Nelson(my other 2hands) Takes his Vr4 parts. It doesnt hurt to ask me what you need though.

get the vin and register on galantvr4.org then introduce yourself and send the VIN number to this guy named iceman something something, so we know which one is gone.

So after work I go over to pay the man the rest of the money that I owed for the car. I go look at it once again ofcourse before I give him the money. I opened to hood to see an eclipse motor with no turbo. Now It has AWD rear and driveshaft, I can see it with my eyes but its not turbo charged. What is this?It has a VR4 badge on the rear that he swears he didn't glue on. Then I asked him for the title and he can't find it. He says he didn't think I needed it because I told him I was using it for my awd project. Also where is the badge of authenticity that supposed to be on the dash? He says there was never one there. So I left there with no car, no deposit. Ill be there after work with backup! My boy is NYPD.

Post the VIN at galantvr4.org, and Iceman90? can confirm the authenticity of the car being a VR4 or not. Good luck on this one!
