I can make copies of my crossmember if nobody wants to weld into the engine bay. This thing "BOLTS" up.Clears transfer case, uses stock ft and rear engine brackets.Rear one just needs to be flipped over.Clears 3in DP and no rubbing .It is a tight fit.

Where did this guy go. Wish he would respond. We got the rear end in and this car wired up. Would like to finish it soon.

Funny you say that .I just cant find my pictures of it. I'd have to drop it out of my car to get picture. So that sayin is null and void. You could have thought of it sooner.

When looking under the car if you look on the pass sideof the floor there are two bolt hole that have nothing in them.Looks like the same spacing as the bolt holes for the fwd cross member. This is where the back of the crossmember bolts up to.The front bolts up like stock

So, you have made a crossmember to substitute for this factory piece?

I hope it's not 3 pieces of box tube steel welded together shaped like a 'C'

Some of it is. Just the part that goes under the tranny. It was notched then rewelded. This was a mockup .No revisions as of yeat. But it holds up the abuse I have thrown at it..I'm thinking of makeing it out of round tube mild steel. And why would you hope its not made out of boxed steel?Your not using it.Oh man I forgot that bar you used is boxed steel.

Yeah I'm using mostly box steel. It just tends to look real awkward when you try and put a bunch of 90 degree bends together out of box steel to make something like your crossmember. Sounds like you notched it and did it the right way though.

Yeah I did try the cut and weld thing but I wasnt very happy with the strength. Now I can jack the car up by this thing. The whole lwr part of the member is one piece.
