So.. I started on my swap today.

Post subject:  So.. I started on my swap today.
So i finally got around to starting on the AWD swap. I didnt get to take as many pictures as i wanted becasue my camera eats batterys faster then a fat man eats cake.


BUT so far its going well. I pulled the gas tank/rear straight axle and drilled out all the spot welds on all the mounting points that i dont need. I also cut the rear spair tire pan out. I'll start taking more detailed pictures tomorrow/later this week once i get everything ready for mounting.

I've been planning mine since i bought the car last may. Just now got the balls to start on it. I should have the rear sub assembly mounted by tomorrow night. So i'll have pictures to go along with some points.


PS.. My g-vr4 rear hubs came in today.. woo hoo

I really don't know how matts car is coming. I have not been down to the shop in at least 3 months. I think it is limbo right now, but not sure.

Up date: 1/10/07


I got the rear diff and sub assembly in place. and the struts bolted up. Its just up on jack stands. Nothing is welded in place. I ran out of time today so i didnt get to make sure its lined up perfect. and everything is straight.


now tomorrow i got to make the mounting points for the trailing arms.

So, so far everything is comming pretty smooth. I'll have pictures tomorrow. The Gf is suppost to let me use her camera.
