Hey guys went yesterday to my local strip to get the dust off my hatch and was very pleased with the results. Went 11.7 and 11.5 and on a 3rd pass tranny got stucked in 3rd.

Shifting hard / Stuck in 3rd gear = broke shift fork = clutch not disengaging all the way or shift cable alignment not correct. I had this same issue back in the day.

Thats what we're thinkin. Now that she's on hold i'm gonna rebuilt the tranny the correct way and send the clutch to PTT to a full inspection of the disks. I think my Clutch drag problem is a warped disk.

did you ever check/replace the master and slave?

Put the car on a lift or on 4 jackstands, put the car in gear, push the clutch to the floor and rev it to 6-7000rpm. If you wheels move that's bad.

Most likely cause at that point is the master or slave - or at least the easiest place to start.

Yep all oem Image

And yes the car moves forward with the clutch pressed around 6000 rpm

must be with the flywheel or clutch

Yeah that what we think. Im gonna have it shipped to Powertrain to see if they can replace any of the 2 disks. There's gonna be 1 warped. Even though car behaved well yesterday and in the last pass 2nd gear went smooth as never but got i think that where it broke the shift fork.

Nice pass! Sucks the car broke, my car is having the same issue with the clutch but it seems like my master cylinder went out, or at least that's what I'm hoping for.

Honestly-98% of DSMs I have ever worked on see some translation to the drive train even in the air, on jack stands, in a high rev in gear-clutch depressed scenario.

If you consider the disc is just sitting on the input shaft-I think it would make sense there would be some contact between either the flywheel or the clutch cover, even with them disengaged.

Lil Evo Id be willing to bet that if you put your car in the air, depressed the clutch in gear, and put it on the limiter, you would have a bit of wheel movement (even if incremental)
