I've been on a pump gas kick recently, which for us out here in Cali is 91 octane, which is crappy. Trying to make power on this stuff can be tricky, especially without a lot of displacement. Either way, about a month or so ago I took my car to the 1/8th and clicked off a 7.9 @ 89mph at 21psi, which I was pretty happy about. After I raced, I realized my wideband was totally dead and the sensor needed to be replaced, so I did that, and re-tuned the car, and decided to go back to the track without changing anything else. The results were pretty astonishing. My first pass of the day, I clicked off a 7.7 @ 95mph with a 1.8 60 foot, spinning pretty hard off the line, running 20psi of boost. Changed nothing else from my previous track session, except the tune. I have a bit more room to go with the boost on this fuel system, so I will probably go back soon and try to go a bit faster. The launch is being tricky, as I'm only on street tires, and traction is an issue. Here is a video. Enjoy! http://youtu.be/PRS1BokpVmY |

I have no idea what happened with that car, but there was a massive smokeshow going on.

Very nice. Are there no 1/4 mile tracks near you? |

Nope. Closest 1/4 mile is about 4 hours away.

UPDATE, with videos! I went to a different 1/8th-mile track down here; which can hardly be called an actual racetrack, as it's in the parking lot of our local football stadium, but it's something... I wasn't expecting to break any personal records, because traction down there is a complete joke. Much to my amazement, the car ended up going 7.68 @ 95.9mph with a 1.88 60'. This was at 21psi, still on the same 91 octane tune as my previous track session. I have changed absolutely nothing on the car. I had an issue with my CAS plug popping off a couple times. I had to zip-tie it eventually to keep it from coming off. I'll put a real metal clip in there eventually. Unfortunately, no one got my fastest run on video. This run was a 7.7 @ 93, but I red-lit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj7mDytM ... e=youtu.be Here you can see where my CAS plug came off, mid-burnout. I had to jump out and put it back on. Enjoy my spirited jog back to the driver's door afterwards. This run was a 7.8 @ 92 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZzq021Z ... e=youtu.be |

Nice runs! Car sounds good spinning through first! I wouldn't call that a spirited jog... More like a frolic |

Man that thing is fast. I still remember the ride I took in this thing when we hit 90 in a neighborhood where a wreck had just occurred...lol Good shit Tony. Glad to see the old Eclipse is still kicking. |
