I decided I was going to break the curse of the 13s today, and I took the short 60 mile drive to Empire Dragway. I did eight runs, the first was a 13.702 @ 104.22. I know, crappy right? I leaned out my pig rich 10.2:1 AFR, and ran two back to back 13.36 passes, and a 13.34 pass, leaning out the AFR a little between each pass.

My rich knock was cleared up now, so I decided to increase boost about half a turn on my Hallman MBC. I ran a 13.113 @ 107.84, and turned it up another half turn. That netted me a 13.100 @ 106.40 then a 13.19 @107.86.

That wasn't in the 12's, so I , raised my launch to 5500 RPM, and my rev limit from 7500 ,to 7750. Then I did a nice clean run that netted me a 12.94 @108.55mph WOOHOO!!!

I had to go home and mow my lawn and the Gassers were getting ready to run, so wait time was getting longer. I decided to call it a day, even though I think she had a little more in her. My AFRs were still around 10.8:1 10.9:1, and the car was feeling really happy/strong.

I really like this track, and even with the Gasser event going on, I still got 8 runs in in 1:45 minutes, all for $20.

Not bad for a street shitbox that went 800 miles on the interstate last weekend right? I put on the A/C and criused home with a big ass smile on my face, so I just figured I'd share.

Nice times man, Congrats! I bet it felt good to make a few changes and drop almost a full second.

I didn't really drop that much; my previous best was 13.060, but it seemed like I was stuck at running 13.30s pretty consistently, rarely better.
