Alright Hemi let me reiterate my point.
What i am trying to say is whether you get cheaper parts, free dyno time or have a shop build your car it will not drive itself down the track.
Obviously sponsorships help out because it gives you a clear advantage over someone who has no sponsors.
Hopefully now you understand what i'm saying.
If you disagree with this then you are :weedman: my friend.

Now i don't think the manifold on JP's car was a shearer.
I'm pretty sure he mentioned he put it together himself.
I may be wrong of course.
Also we both know JP's car had much more in it and please don't mention the word light.
Weight should not be a factor when talking about CSM's especially between csm's.
Bobby's car is light and so was JP's.
I think you're just gay for Bobby but that's just me.

Anyone remember this car?

I did only run a 10 once on lower boost and my very first pass EVER on slicks. I was nervous about the slicks breaking something and pulled it back a little. After that I couldn't run slicks again but managed to slide them on a car for a couple pulls later on. Just to compair...

10 sec pass at 26 psi

1.81 60' - 7.24 @ 102.4 - 10.99 @ 134.44

Two other slick passes later that season and letting out just after the 1/8th at 28 psi

1.72 60' - 7.01 @ 103.9 - 11.31 @ 105.1

1.74 60' - 7.06 @ 103.2 - 11.38 @ 108.3

The next pass I missed 2nd, and hit the limiter hard in 3rd...I was in the semi-final round going agains the number one qualifier...he threatened to turn me in if I beat him since I didn't have a cage and they didn't say anything the previous two runs.

1.77 60' - 7.93 @ 98.8 - 11.28 @ 131.93

My car was very light, 2125 lbs with me in it most of the season. I got it down to 2075 but never ran the slicks while it was that light.

I rock all my notable time slips in my wallet. A lot of people don't believe me when I talk about my car. A couple timeslips do a better job and I honestly don't mind showing them off. :snakeman:

Trap speed calculators put me at 403 whp but I think I was more likly in the 340-350 whp uncorrected.

Here is Joe Bucci's Project Goodwill from forever ago. Only running a 16g, but pulled 10's in his Laser.

http://www.joebucci.com/NewLaser.htm

And here's a quick run down of the time slip post on DSMTuners.com

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/timeslips.php?&do=FWD

Looks like most of them are running over 500hp to get low 10's, but most weigh in over 2500lbs.
