No man, the AEM is a standalone. An AFC2 is a piggyback to goes inline with the stock ECU.

I will say the 2g maf is the balls. It will read up till 52lb/min aprox. Anything over that you can always switch to fake maf if you have dsmlink.
The 2g maf will be fine for your application.

haha. I would prob suggest maybe a 20g, Its a good size turbo, not to expensive and it can handle the power. A gm maf, and translator would help. And the new ecmlink. Its a lot like aem where it has all maps instead of the sliders. And as for the head i think u will be fine with some springs, retainers, and 272s. and like everybody else said SLICKS!!!
