I took my Colt Gt to the track the other day. My setup is a built 2.3L w/comp cams, fp18g, 2" pipe, 3"exh, 2g maf, fic 750s, dsm link, phantom grip lsd, m/h 23x7.5x15, 18psi, km210. My setup is pretty new so i havent had much run time for break in. i had a boost leak that was beeding off to 15psi and trans no longer seems to shift well. It ground into 2nd every pass and had to shift 3 and 4 slow not to miss. It was frustrating to shift that slow. 60' 1.82 330' 5.534 1/8 8.32 mph 89.84 1000 10.78 1/4 12.81 mph 113.4

A 2.3 with an 18g, must be responsive. Got any pics?

I'll get some pics up soon. It is pretty clean for a northeast car. spools up quick. It was funny how fast that motor spooled the 14b crusin around when i put my beak in miles on it last fall.

Sounds like a good setup....minus the grindage, of course!

Get a twin disc. Pull the tranny apart and swap the 1st and 2nd gear syncros. Problem solved!! :)

Who makes a good twin disc setup? Does that require a flywheel change too?

GSX is using a Quatermaster right now. Seems to work well. That is what I will be using when my car is back together.

Well, about 3 weeks ago i decided to put an act 2600 clutch in my car. As soon as i finished, i loaded the car and went to the track. First pass out, it went 12.4 @ 115.7 1.83 60'. 2nd pass was 12.6 @115.6 1.74 60' shifting not as good. 3rd pass i broke the diff., put a hole in
the case and oiled the track. SUCK. back on the trailer.

So i went home, pulled the trans, and took it apart. A few days later, a friend of mine gave me another km210 to use. I Took that one apart and put my steel 3-4 fork and lsd insert in and put it back together.

There was a mopar day at my local track Sat. so i wasnt gonna miss that. Alot of cars showed up but no vipers or fast fwd cars to race. mostly rwd muscle cars. The track cond. was good though. boost was at 20psi. half 93 octane half c16.
First pass
1.78
5.43
8.23
85.72
10.59
12.53
117.65
second pass
1.73
5.17
7.89
88.39
10.23
12.16
119.93
third pass
1.70
5.19
7.87
88.18
10.17
12.07
120.87
fourth pass 1st round elim. missed 2nd
1.72
5.69
8.52
67.77
10.89
12.84
118.58
last run was 12.38 @118.74. Kinda wanted to break 11s but i was happy with the day. Had the fastest pass to date and best 60' time too.

Wow man, those are some pretty decent times. 120mph on an 18g is pretty impressive.

How much does the car weigh?

Nice, whats your technique on launching the car with the m&h and whats your tire pressure?

I set them at 9.5 psi after they were warmed up on my first pass and didnt touch them the rest of the day. I've had the best 60' by bringing the rpm up about 5000 to 5500 and just rolling it on as i let out the clutch with a little preload sometimes. the launch control was at 5500 but i've been stayin off that cause it gives a little more wheel spin. oh and i usually try to do a decent 2nd gear burnout to get em hot

Thanks. I was pretty excited after the 12.0 pass. Im going to build a tranny this winter to get some consistent shifting. havent decided if i should do the km210 or go to a 1g dsm. Any input would be appreciated.

I would go ahead and use the 1G FWD transmission because of the longer gears. Also, I would because you have a 2.3L.
