Went to the Street tuner mayham event at Bandimere Sunday. I decided to run in the heads-up classes even though I can't run below 11.5 just to help fill it up and if they made a mistake I would win.

I tried the street tires first and ran a 12.03 @ 127.45 mph spinning like crazy. I was placed 9th in the street tire class but decided to say 'screw it' and run the slicks.

That moved me to the extreme class and in my next time trial with slicks I ran a 11.34 @ 115 w/ 1.77 60', I was trying to stay above 11.5. Lucky for me they didn't catch it and I ended up qualifying 9th in a full class.

In the first round I was up against a clean 2G who had ran a 11.31 @ 131 in qualifying w/o nitrous. He was planning on spraying in the first round. I tree'd him pretty bad and he missed 3rd so I cruised to an easy win running 11.56 @ 108 w/ 1.80 60'.

Next round put me against the top seed, he tree'd me, I began reeling him in and hit the limiter in second, resulting in me fighting it into 3rd and having to respool the turbo. I ran an 11.36 @ 128 w/ 1.82 60' to his 11.1 @ 132, he went on to finish second place to a low 10 second CRX.

I wanted to back up my 10 second pass if I was going to loose but driver error kept me from that. The car was really strong and I wish I had made a better showing in my last run but thats reality. I think with a clean pass and good 60' this car could have run 10.7's all day. Not bad considering its 200 lbs heavier than when it ran the first 10.9.

Nice re-cap man.

Tell us more about the crx. Is it black with a bunch of sissy stickers? Somehow at the last T&T I earmarked a pink valve cover, parachute wearing crx that's looking for new pimp, could it be you? or perhaps an old man with a cane and fuzzy hat?

Here is some footage, you get to see my beast. (Reaction time doesn't matter for qualifying, I didn't try for a good light till eliminations.)

I haven't changed a thing, other than put about 200 lbs back into the car.

Great runs looks like you get off the line pretty good. What kind of set up are you using out the hole? i.e. slick size , rpm's and i think i heard anti lag? if so what rpm?

23x7.5x15 M&H slicks, crappy awd suspension, front springs cut. I was using the antilag set at 5,500 rpms. I think I could have done a little better going a little higher. Perhaps 5,800-6,200 would have netted me some better 60's. Looking at my slips, I was basically right around 1.80 average.
