How much will a cage and supports weight in at? I'm curious to now how much time you will gain/lose by performing this mod just to stay within the time class or faster. :o
If I just go with a minimal 5 point cage and use higher grade steel, the cage will probably only add 50 lbs max. The only other things required are a tranny scatter shield and sfi cert. pants. Everything else I already have. I'm probably gonna do a aluminum seat to help off-set some of the weight and also increase my own safety.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, it was a huge goal of mine and I honestly never expected to reach it at this point.

Steven made me a swith so I can get NLTS working and help me with that pesky 1-2, and 2-3 shifts. After that I am gonna get this thing properly tuned out on a dyno and hopefully up the boost a few more pounds. Then get some seat time and try to get it consistently running 10's.

Great run man!! A fine example of a well driven car. The et and trap was just a bonus. I'm sure it took a lot of work and patience.

Nice run Bobby! I remember the days of us running in the low 14's and thinking that was fast. LOL You have really upped the bar for us in Colorado! I still have doubts about the engine size  .

I wondered when someone was going to question the 61t. After this season or if I blow it up, I'm gonna video tape tearing it down. You are also more than welcome to come what what actually comes out of the car. 8)

I know you were joking Eric and the 10 sec pass really hasn't even set in yet. I've been doing finals and writing papers all week and really havn't even had the time to stop and enjoy it. I had a gut feeling that it could run 10's but it was still a shock to get there the way I did.

I can understand that a lot of people may be a little curious if I'm really running a 61t (or that its stock internally). I understand that getting to this point with a 63t would have been easier but I feel the 61t is still severly underestimated.

I also need admit that I took a HUGE crap right before the run (Davis and Missy can verify that :shit: ) so I'm not gonna deny that it made a difference too. LOL

fruit and banana :o

Well, built Hondas have been doing it for some time now.

There was no reason any of us shouldve doubted the 61T could do the same.

Congrats and my hats off to you for sticking with the 1.6 powerplant!!

Cheers

 I always find it funny when I see those two words together, especially when they are followed by 14's.
