The mm specs you are giving are for the EXDUCER, and as far as I am concered- false advertized.
You are right about the exducer specs. I don't really pay too much attention to the inducer/exducer specs, mainly the total lbs/min the compressor wheel flows, and the size of turbine wheel/housing.
Quote:
The size of a turbo comp is most often determined by its INDUCER. 61mm for the 35r, 65mm for the 40r. T-61 61mm. T66-66mm. Its not that tuff.
As it stands, the 61mm Comp wheel IS the 35r wheel, and the 65mm IS what is found in a standard 40. I will ask you to go back to the AGP61 and tel me what Comp wheel is in deed in it? #*!!, ask then what cartrige they will send you if you blow it up, it sure as #*!! won tme a GT40 Cartige now will it?
Well here is your info on the AGP61:
These T3/T4 hybrids are the result of Garrett's decades of research and development into perfecting the conventional turbocharger.
Compressor Specs:
- T04S housing 4" inlet 2.5" outlet
- 56 trim GT40 compressor wheel 2.41/3.22 (61mm inducer) 65lb/min
Turbine Specs:
- T31 4 bolt outlet turbine housing available in .48, .63, .82, and 1.06 A/R ratios
- T3 5 bolt outlet turbine housing available in .48, .63, and .82 A/R ratios
- 76 trim T31 turbine wheel (stage 3)
- 76 trim T350 turbine wheel (stage 5)
Turbo Also Known As: SC61, AGP61, GT61, GTS61
Seems to me like the same 61mm compressor wheel as a gt35r, a 56trim GT40 compressor wheel with 2.40157" inducer, which is 61mm. And here is the gt35r specs while I'm at it:
Compressor Specs
-T04E compressor housing 3" inlet 2" outlet
-T04S compressor housing 4" inlet 2.5" outlet
-6 bladed 56 trim GT40 compressor wheel 2.41/3.22 61mm inducer
Turbine Specs
-GT 4 bolt outlet turbine housing available in .63, .82 and 1.06 A/R with 3" outlet
-T31 4 bolt outlet turbine housing available in .63 and .82 A/R
-
84 trim GT35 turbine wheel 2.45/2.68
Also known as GT3540R, GT35R
See where I underlined GT35 turbine wheel? That's where the name came from.
