Seriously, how do you set one of these little cars up for the 1320?
It's totally opposite from how you want a RWD car set up, which is what I'm used to.
Theoretically you'd want no weight transfer, correct?
How do you preload the front suspension so you don't spin one tire on a non LSD tranny?
This isn't a drag only car, so anything done should be EASILY "reversed" or at least not hurt street drivability too much.
And remember, I'm SUPER CHEAP. If I can do this with stuff laying around the garage, that's better.

You are correct in your reasoning. You wan 0 weight transfer. Put some 1000lbs springs out back with some fronts around 450-550 or so. Wheelie bars are also an AWESOME help if you really want traction ;)

To get both wheels to spin w/out an LSD you will need to put the car on scales and adjust the suspension and remove/add weight to make sure the weight on each of the front tires, with you in the car, is exactly the same.

And let me tell you 1000# springs are some kidney breackers. But it does help the car hook.

Since you're super cheap you can't really afford anything they said. Maybe wheelie bars if you're really handy but if you are you probably wouldn't have asked this questions.

PLEASE CONSTRUCT WHEELIE BARS CAREFULLY! They become your entire rear suspension once you launch and you can't have them fail unless you like getting into the wall.

Other things to consider for cheap are limit straps and block the rear end. IE make the rear end solid. I'll leave it up to you on how you do that.

Oh yea, Koni's will NOT damp 1000lbs springs and GR-2s and other really cheap shocks are even worse.

PS...1000 pounds springs don't limit the weight transfer, just pitch angle ;)

It mostly all Custom Coilovers-very Similar to GC made for me by another shop owner I have sevral sets of eibach springs in various spring rates, nothing soft though-hehe, and Koni Shock/struts, RRE camber Plates and Polybushings on everything in the fornt end. 6 Piont cage helps to keep it stiff as well. But the car does one thing go in a straight line for 10 seconds and hopefully by begining of next year, less.

You can see the whole set up here

Well since your cheap goto the wrecker and look at rear springs for an Eagle Summit Van the AWD ones are 380lb/inch its not a 1000 lb spring but you cout get the set for $20
