Well I just would like to get the opinions of what everybody does at the track for successful launches. What kind of tire are you using? What tire pressure? Suspension setup? What RPM do you launch at using any kind of techniques? How do you do your burnout?

Are you looking for tips or just comments on how others do it?

If tips, I know this freakin' sweet page that gives all sorts of suggestions for FWD launching.

Drop the pressure a little from your street running psi.

Manual- find the highest rpm you can launch at without spinning.

Auto- foot brake it until the converter is loaded and then depending on your power, floor it/floor it halfway until you know you can floor it without spinning.

I don't need tips on how to launch because I know exaclt how to launch and drive my car. I was just wondering how others do it. If you read the post it basically just asks what you do when you go to the track to race. For me, I drop the tire pressure down to about 15psi or so, might try a little less here soon. Then in the water box I turn the tires over pretty good and make sure I spin out through the box so the tires dry off. Then I hurry to the light and launch at whatever RPM I choose for that day, mostly 4500, but this is on a BFG DR.

lol I was saying how I did it. I guess it sounds a little "this is how you do it". :butthead:

I love my keydiver chip, all I do, stage up, clutch in, mash gas pedal hard, and let the clutch go on the third orange :-) three lsd's do the rest for the next 1.7 seconds :-)

haha i wish it were that easy for me....i have to dodge the burnout box, stage up.....rev the car by flooring it and letting off really fast to get my frigging Holset turbo to start to spool so it wont be too laggy.....then when the 1st yellow pops, i have to not be on the gas as much so the rpms are down to about 2500, but im still pumping it to keep the turbo spinning decently.....3rd yellow start slipping the clutch and not go over 1/2 throttle till about 25mph...then clutch is out, go 3/4 throttle....spin.....all this for a 2.338 60footer on stock 13's...then....wack 2nd (I always end up getting into the gass with too much enthusiasm and floor it and it just lights em up) then back off to like 3/4th throttle and constantly feather the gas to see if i have traction yet....sometimes i get lucky and get some traction at the top of 2nd, pop 3rd gear and go WOT and just let the tires howl....and 4th gear follows suit. 13.4@108.5 on stock 13's.... I wish i was AWD, and had a studder box!!!
