Ride of the Month for August belongs to Bowdown. His car was selected from a vote of the users here. This is his story.

This is one of our 3 mitsu projects...
We have a 94 Mirage converted in to an evo III body with the 4g63t swap, a 98 Mirage with an evo V conversion and an evo VIII motor swap, and my car a 1991 Mitsu Mirage.

We've always wanted unique cars that would turn heads and make people wonder so we stayed away from the common JDM Honda, Nissan, Toyota etc... conversions and went with the more rare, sleeper old school Lancers....

What I've done with the car...

I tried to search for an 89-91 mirage and found this one for cheap due to a tranny problem, then from there I started investing...

I had Genuine Mitsu JDM body conversion shipped over from the trunk and sidings to the bumper. I also got some JDM lights and garnish, rear and front disk conversions, 1g motor swap with 70,000 original miles, cleaned up and changed some parts to new, I invested in a brand new genuine Evo III turbo, manifold etc, excellent 1g tranny, with High performance clutch etc.
Evo IX interior, converted the whole beige interior to black plus converted to power windows using JDM door interior panels. A lot more stuff but too much too list.

I pretty much had the car built to last another 15-20 years...

First time it debuted was MOD 09.... its now 85% done and hoping to have it completed by September.

Evo VIII and IX rear seats are about the same width and height so its an easy project especially if you know a little bit on upholstery.... for the bottom part its just needs minor trimming on the rear corners so I can push it all the way in and align the hooks, while the back rest it also almost perfect, All you need is to relocate the mounts and put fillers,, the top part is a perfect fit and for the side part that you see when you open your rear doors, you need to extend the side bolsters to the back to fill up the little space between the seat backrest the and frame that divides the trunk

what made me decide to go for this seats is because the seats from the 5g mirage is the one I originally measured when I was trying to look for options for seat replacement. I almost bought a set until I read in one of the mirage forums that they were able to fit VIII seats with little to no Modifications at all so I figured thats might work for my sedan too and seats are a lot better and would match my fronts....
