Hey whats up guys!? I haven't been on the boards in awhile...Figured i stop in and show you guys what I picked up. I was looking for another c53 for awhile, but could find any nice ones locally. So I ended up recently purchasing Chris Porter's old mirage. I bought it has a rolling shell. It needs a engine and transmission, bunch of other things also. So far I picked up an AEM V1, aem ignition box, coil on plug, comp6767 turbo, tcase, tranny cooler and fan, wiring harness. I purchased my old built motor that was in my colt. My friend that bought the car hasn't driven it since it was sold to him. He went AWD and decided to go with a higher compression build. I also bought Chris's exhaust manifold, intake manifold/q45 throttle body, intercooler setup that was on the car. His best time at the track was 8.9 @155. I'm going to keep the car auto, never played with a fast auto car. Seems like it's the way to go nowadays. I will be happy to even get in the 10's with it to be honest. He's been really helpful on what parts I need to get the car up and running and again, and to make it fast once again. Well see how it goes, hopefully next season It will be up and running. Also have a Evo 8 that I bought after I sold my colt.

I have most of the main things I need to get it up and running again besides the transmission and some other odds and ends. Everything is pretty cheap, I added up everything I need. Doesn't come anywhere close to 15k. Your car looks good, I saw it when I use to be on the site more. I thought it sold along time ago? This car is going to be fun, I enjoy projects. Putting in the work to build it back up is what it's all about. You appreciate it so much more then going out and buying something that someone's already put together.

Whether you spend no time installing all the parts because they are already there, or you buy the car and get it into the 9's, you will be pulling your hair out and blowing the budget twice over to keep it running in that time bracket.

Lancerman has a very good point. I can see both sides of the story, but considering all the time you have to put in tinkering and redoing things as you race the car, building it, is actually the last thing you WANT to do other than knowing you had a hand on everything. We could be at this all day huh? -= puts stool back up on the tool bench =-

Found it on dsmtuner's classifieds. Got in contact with him, then had it shipped from Florida.
