No seatbelts or cage of any kind? Looks terrifying.

First thing I noticed was no cage. I know the mile events are super strict on tech, but apparently they're a little lax on 1/2 mile stuff. He's probably close to 8.8-9k in 4th to hit 170 with a 24" tire and a FWD 1g trans. A bigger tire would give him a little room, but it's safe to say he's past 8500 through the traps.

It is a 23x7 tire. It appears to grow to around 24.25" during the run. This run was 8600rpm. The Rev limiter was 9700 for this run as the turbo is lazy and takes forever rolling I to it from first gear. We thought we would try to launch it and it locked him out two passes in row at 9700rpm going into second gear. You guys have questions ask away.

Jason is the poorest racer on the planet. We sold everything he had to make this event. Before we run the mile we will be installing a roll cage. The car is ridiculous to say the least.

I just saw that he forgot his shoulder belt. Huge reason why we need safety equipment as we were underprepared for this event.

Glad to see it is running and running well, but the safety kit missing .... yep, scary to say the least.

Looks like you guys are having fun with it, so please stay safe too. That way there is always another day to race.

I remember seeing this car in the build stages a long while back.

Also, wasn't there a bull nosed foam plug that was made for your car/friends car, biglady112?

I am no longer involved with that project. They had the car out doing some testing for the salt flats in a few weeks though. The car was mine for seven years though.

I don't think there is a chance of my car doing 170MPH in 4th at any achievable RPM! Is the gearing different in your trany? I am running 195/60/`5's because they clear the stock struts, I think anything bigger will rub unless I go to aftermarket suspension.

Stock 1G FWD tranny with a .666 AWD 5th gear. 1-4 are stock gears and ratios however.

Revving the piss out of it makes a pretty big difference

8600rpm is no big deal.

Here is the flyby video.
