Bought a '88 Lancer today with 167k kms. It has an 1.2L 4G16 engine with 54hp, but it accelerates very nice and goes really fast. Driven by an old lady since '94. The car is very clean. Pics: 8)

Very nice and clean. The battery is almost as big as the engine!

I got 7.2; 6.44; 7.69 litres/100 km so far. Guess it doesn't eat more than 8 litres/100 km in city usage and 5.5 - 5.8 litres/100 km off city. Found out that the engine is 60 hp, not 54. The gears are very short, hence it accelerates almost as nice as my other 1.5L Colt. Great car, easy to debug, no vacuum hoses (just a few) and no electronics at all.
