Perhaps you could ship other things as well? Perhaps JDM Bumpers, rear suspension/subframes, etc.?

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that stuff is just as rare in Croatia as it is here in the US...

Okaaay... Long time no write, lost of new stuff :)

So Eclipse is here, papers are done, I'm officially the only owner of 1GB GSX is Croatia

Here are some pic how she looked when we came to pick her up in Italy.

Image

Image

Image

Our transport Mitsubishi Pajero.. I will never do that again, that was most uncomfortable trip ever..

Image

Then we had some papers problem.
When they imported it new from Florida to Italy in 92 they couldn't register it here because of the red rear blinkers. They had to be orange.
So they cut!!!! the rear lights and put some orange inserts in ti. :axe: :axe:
Also added some ugly orange ones on front side of the car.
When they did that they change the car VIN number because it had modifications.
New VIN number was stamped into right strut (don't know if thats the right word) and it looks like the kids were playing with it.
So to cut the story short, we manage to get all the papers and went home.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

When we finally got home, we found her a nice place in garage.

Image

Image

Ok so that is the car.
All the parts that I gathered over the years for Colt, will now go into Eclipse.
Again I have to say, all this wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for Chris.
He was very kind to help me out with parts. I would order parts from stores and got them shipped to his door.
He would then put few parts in the box and sent it to me. Chis I'm very grateful for your help, one day I will come and visit you and buy you a beer
So here are some of the parts that will go onto Eclipse.

TZ-Series Kevlar Clutch.
Image

GSC Powerd Division S1 cams, OBX fuel rail, ACL Race bearings, i Innovate MTX gauge.
Image

Image

Quaife LSD front diff. I bought it for 90' FWD F5M33 but it seams ti will go to AWD as it was meant for it in first place
Image

Few dark parts :D Forced performance 68HTA turbo and exhaust manifold with EVO 3 O2 housing, all coated.
Image

Eagles
Image

Magnus intake
Image

850cc injectors
Image

Innovate wideband i speed density
Image

Wiseco
Image

ECMLink
Image

There are more parts like 255 FP fuel pump, aeromotive AFPR, ARP head studs, Gates timing belt, adjustable cam gears..
AWD Fidanza flywheel and fuildampr are on the way from US so I don't have pic from them.

Few days ago Tial Q bov arrived from Germany.
Image

Image

Image

So those were the parts.
Lets head back to garage.

In mean time I got great offer on engine from Eclipse so I couldn't pass that go so I sold it.
I had the same 6 bolt engine that was in my Colt so we will now take that engine apart and clean it, polish it, do all the necessary work on it to get it back in top condition with all the parts above.
The only difference between those two engine is mileage.
The one I sold was 66.000 and the one from Colt had like 150.000.
But that is not the problem because the engine will be striped down to the last bolt.

Here are the pictures from taking out the engine.

Here are the Pictures with Flashback's Eclipse. Two sisters, the only one in Croatia :)
Image

Image

Image

Now the pictures from stripping down the engine.
Image

Image

Image

Then the first shock came. When we took down the cam gears cover we sow this..
Something must have been scraping the belt, but we didn't find any trace what could it be.
Image

Sun finally came, so we took it out side :)
Image

So here are the internals on 150.000+ miles engine. Engine was driven hard. I only had it for like 30.000 miles.
I took good care of it, but I cant say the same for the guys that owned it before me.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Engine is now clean and awaits Monday, when it will be sent to machine shop for treatment :)

That is it for now :)

That odd scrape mark on the timing belt could be from the oil pan bolts. Sometimes people remove the oil pan and don't keep track of which bolts came out of what hole...they're not all the same. There are shorter bolts that go over by the timing belt. If someone installed the longer bolts where the shorter bolts go, they will rub on the timing belt, and cause that. I'd look into it. :)

Looking good Bruno! Glad I could help you source all of these parts, when you finally get here a Pepsi will do 8) . Honestly though, its like Christmas here about once a month when new parts arrive. Sad part is they're not mine.

Tony's is right, there are two oil pan bolts that are slightly shorter and are meant to go underneath the t-belt. Just be sure to keep that in mind on reassembly.

I wish we would have gotten the 2 door turbo diesel option on our Monteros. That thing is cool!

About the bolts.. Yes we know about that, short ones in front.
That is the first thing we looked. And it wasn't that.
It's still mistery. :D

Chris, it is good thing you didn't :D
The gearbox is so short that you hit 3400rpm at 60mph..
That is not good for highway :D
It took us 10 hours to get back...

About the hood.. huh yes I just noticed that :D
