I took the colt out after putting in a higher stall converter from Sinister and shift kit from Trans Lab. I also got the squeeze working to help me spin all 4 for the first 60 ft.

Best run was around 6.82 @ 106.7 with a 1.7 60ft. I don't know the camera guy personally but I'm glad he was there.

Time for slicks.

I felt privileged to be at the track and watch this car run these times in person. I know what a struggle it's been for Dan to get down to these times, and makes me very happy that he was able to hand some dumbestics their asses on this day. :)

Sick! Hard to believe you only have to plant the foot once, and never let off till the end.

Any interesting techniques about how you launch, that you care to share?

Thanks guys!

It's been a long journey to say the least. It's funny, some guys hated me and were even bitching about how we parked my dad's truck. Some (most) were very friendly and loved the sleeper aspect, but not so much the people I smashed.

As for my launch approach... I added a vacuum pump which now allows the brakes to actually hold the car while I stall. I floor it a foot before the line with the brake on hard, let off the brake a little to roll in to the pre-stage light until the boost comes on. I let off a little more to light the second stage light and wait for green. It takes about 10 or 15 seconds to stall.

Good chance I'll buy some slicks and head back. I'd like to see the 60ft go into the 1.4 range and maybe hit low 6s.

What size slick are you using? I'd like to stuff the biggest I can in there...
