I decided to head out to Barona to check out the 1/8th-mile drags, over the weekend. There were a couple of my DSM buddies racing, and a buddy with an extremely fast Fox Body Mustang. Here are some pics!

My buddy's 1g. HX35 with a BEP housing. Link. E85. Has ran a best of 7.6 @ 99




This is my buddy's Mustang. 5.3 liter GM truck block, stock internals, Turbo 400 trans, T76 turbo, MegaSquirt, 110 octane, runs consistent 5.9's @ 116-118mph in the 1/8th. Total beast.




Freakin' bad-ass Avanti. You never see these, let alone at a dragstrip with some meaty slicks on the back!

FP HTA68, Link, E85. Has done 440whp with this setup, and has done 11.60's in the 1/4, trapping like 124 I think.

Well, he doesn't really get hassled because he's Military, and they tend to be more cooperative with Military peeps. In general, the cops don't like it when you have out-of-state plates and a California license. They know what you're trying to do...
